I like yoga, pilates, and barre for strengthening my core.  I think that people underestimate the strength and balance building value of yoga.  I used to think that way too until I tried yoga and saw the results.

I like these DVDs because I can do them at home whenever I want without having to spend time or money on going to the gym.  I also like them because they are divided into separate workouts so you can do a quick 10 minute arm or ab workout or spend more time by putting several of the workouts together.  I would say my favorite of all three is the Barre workouts because they have an element of dance to them that I enjoy.

Together with better nutrition, I have been working out with these DVDs at least 3 days a week to help lose weight and increase strength.

In addition to these I’ve been doing interval walking and swimming.  I understand the concept of high intensity interval training (HIIT) and love that it can be a time saver.

Most of us have mile long to-do lists.  Anything that is more efficient is a plus.

Regardless of my schedule, I know it is imperative that I take time for me not just to build my core physically, but to recharge emotionally too.
